Gwen's Side Gigs

Outside of the podcast, you can join me on our Substack page, where I'm building a village of listeners like you. In May 2026, I'll graduate from Harvard with a Master's degree in creative writing and literature. More book projects are in my future. Shop my online bookstore, where you can find my first book for sale. Given the way my brain operates, you never know when I'll open another business. It's how I stay sane.

Children's books hold a piece of my heart.  They are a beautifully accessible way for readers of all ages to be inspired.  There are millions of children's books in the world and just a small percentage receive wide recognition.  Searching for just the right book can be daunting, but I relish the hunt.  Every child AND adult deserves to see themselves, their families, their cultural experiences, their abilities, and their hard questions depicted in the pages of books.  It's our passion that all readers are empowered through the curation of stories within our online shop.  Please consider shopping for ALL your book needs here.

In 2019, my son, Rylan, and I published a book about living in his brain with autism and Tourette's.  "If I Squeeze Your Head I'm Sorry" is a delightful and insightful blend of his words and art as they relate to his everyday experiences in the world.  This book was invaluable therapy for both Rylan and me, and allowed so many people to understand him more clearly. It also opened doors for other neurodivergent readers to feel understood.  Purchase your copy of our book HERE. We have a curriculum guide that partners with the book.  Contact me directly to request a copy for your classroom.
